Easton is a historic riverside city in the Lehigh Valley that will be your home away from home. Here are some fun facts and things to explore while you’re here:

  • Learn about the area’s history: In 1776, Easton was chosen as one of three cities where the Declaration of Independence was first read aloud. This occasion is honored through Easton Heritage Day, an annual free festival. Learn more about the area’s history by visiting the Sigal Museum.
  • Be a locavore: Sprouted in 1752, Easton Farmers’ Market is America’s oldest continuous open-air market! Find fresh produce, baked goods, cheese, kombucha, and more. (9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, May to December, Larry Holmes Drive)
  • Explore the trails: From the escarpment trail on campus, connect to the 1.75-mile Karl Stirner Arts Trail to view sculptures and art installations. Bike, walk, or run along the 165-mile D&L Trail.
  • Feast: Easton is the unofficial food center of the Lehigh Valley. With 30+ restaurants right by campus, you’ll have no shortage of delicious places to try.
